The English-speaking community
Nefesh B'Nefesh describes Modi'in as a medium-sized city of about 100,000 with a large English-speaking population and thousands of its olim, and lists it among the five places with the most English-speaking olim students in Israel.
Kehillat Shaarei Yonah Menachem in Buchman (Moriah) describes its members as olim from many countries, predominantly English speaking, alongside long-time Israelis. Darchei Tzion, which meets on the AMIT boys' high school campus, brings together olim from around the world with native Israelis; an undated staff page for one of its founders puts it at 150 families. Lev Modi'in runs a weekly Carlebach minyan geared for young Anglo families, with sermons in English.
The municipal absorption department lists an English olim club and English-speaking host families, Nefesh B'Nefesh lists an Anglo olim coordinator, and ESRA writes that English-speaking doctors are concentrated in the Buchman and Moriah clinics.

Buchman

Where people live
Buchman, Moriah and Keizer
ESRA calls Buchman, which includes Keizer and Moriah, the traditional heart of the Anglo community, with a high concentration of active English-speaking synagogues. It writes that in certain sections English speakers make up nearly 40% of residents.

Moreshet
The city's newest neighbourhood, which ESRA says is becoming a favourite for young families and olim.

Other neighbourhoods olim choose
Nefesh B'Nefesh also names Shvatim (north Buchman), Avnei Chen (in Keizer), Masuah, Nechalim (Shimshoni), Nofim and Tziporim. It notes that most neighbourhoods are homogenous.
Maccabim
A small part of the city, the Maccabim neighbourhood, lies in what the 1949 Armistice Agreement with Jordan left as a no man's land. The rest of Modi'in is within the 1949 line.

Hashmonaim, next door
A separate yishuv two kilometres east, beyond the 1949 line, in the Mateh Binyamin Regional Council. Wikipedia records 545 families in 2010, more than half native English speakers, and Nefesh B'Nefesh calls it a popular destination for religious, English-speaking olim. The numbers on this page are Modi'in's, not Hashmonaim's.
